Skirmishers? Crossbows or catapults or both. The remainder will die on the Vault Wardens. Archers? Shrug off the fire, switch your catas to Mortar, and annhilate the suckers. Wargs? Watch 'em run onto your Vault Wardens. Originally posted by aidenpons:That gives you a doomstack that will beat everything. I'll leave Inardesco to comment on any other factions. Save-scum if you want to have any chance of getting the ring actually to Mount Doom. Or ignore them entirely and let the other AI factions keep them occupied - I had a quarter stack in Rhomen and Rhun ignored me entirely. Once you've taken that, you can mop up the remaining settlements as you please.

Once you have amassed this doomstack, go straight for their "king settlement." Take the Orcs of the Misty Mountains - don't bother with small fry like the Motte and Bailey or Wooden Palisade, go straight for Moria. For Dwarves, it's Vault Wardens + Ballista.

For Elves, it's an archer plus cav spam (mostly cav spam though). Find out what your faction's doomstack is.
